Imperial PlazaOahu – A Landscape in Transition

Fascinated by the world around me and the silent stories of both physical and natural spaces, I make images of the scenes that we encounter every day but often fail to really “look” at or even notice.  Images of the places that we call home and the landscapes that we drive past as we move about in our daily commutes from place to place.

I use my camera as a means to explore and document the incongruity of our island landscape with the stereotypical, and often sentimental, view of Hawaii, our relationship with the land, its use and preservation.
